High Fructose Corn Syrup

The common sweetener found in many prepackaged foods has been compellingly found to stimulate an increased craving for more sugary foods. Research claims the sweetener significantly caused more weight gain than table sugar of the same caloric intake. It also increased triglyceride levels, which is linked to heart disease.

White Bread

This popular staple is a carbohydrates that converts into sugar, making it a high-glycemic food that ultimately won’t keep you satisfied. Additionally it has little nutritional value and fiber content, which would otherwise help to fill you up and eat less. Research on those who ate white bread showed unwanted weight gain over a period of 12 years.

White Rice

Similar to white bread, white rice is an “empty calorie” with little nutritional value. it can encourage your body to store excess fat, making it harder to lose weight. On the other hand, brown rice is full of fiber, vitamins and nutrients. Fiber helps you to feel full and satisfied for longer, it lowers cholesterol and blood pressure, and increases blood flow.

Processed Meats

Deli meats, including bacon are filled with high calorie fat and cholesterol known for heart disease and certain cancers, and they easily sabotage weight-loss. Additionally they contain sodium nitrates which acts as a preservative to make them appear fresh. Too much sodium and salt in your body commonly leads to water retention and bloating.

Called “Mirage” the house is located on the island of Tinos in Greece. It is a single story house, but the rooftop is truly spectacular and was designed to reflect the stars of the night.
